Exploring Noosa North Shore
Noosa North Shore is home to part of the amazing Great Sandy National Park, which is a huge natural area. You'll also find the tiny town of Teewah here. The name 'North Shore' makes sense because it's on the northern side of the Noosa River.
It's also where the long and exciting Cooloola Great Walk begins or ends, a popular track for hikers.
Getting to Noosa North Shore
To get to Noosa North Shore, you usually take a special boat called the Noosa River Ferry. This ferry crosses the Noosa River from Tewantin. It's the main way to reach this area.
The people who manage Noosa North Shore want to keep it wild and natural. That's why there are no plans to build a road or bridge to it. Also, there are rules about what kind of buildings can be put up here. This helps protect the beautiful wilderness.

Noosa North Shore has always been part of the Shire of Noosa. But for a few years, between 2008 and 2013, it was part of a bigger area called the Sunshine Coast Region.
Many local people didn't like this change. They kept asking for their area to be separate again. After a vote, Noosa North Shore went back to being part of the Shire of Noosa.
