North Troy is a small village located in the town of Troy, in Orleans County, Vermont, United States. In 2020, about 631 people lived there. It's quite close to the border between Canada and the U.S., only about 1.3 miles (2.1 km) south.

History of North Troy
North Troy used to host exciting Winter Carnivals. These events took place from 1940 to 1942. In 1942, a huge crowd of 4,000 people came to enjoy the festivities. The carnivals featured thrilling dog sled races and impressive ski jumping contests.
For a long time, until 2007, North Troy had its own police force. This was special because most villages rely on town or county police. The village police department managed its own law enforcement.
