Oneida Creek is a small river located in the state of New York in the United States. It flows into the southeastern part of Oneida Lake at a spot called South Bay. The creek gets its name from the Oneida people, who are a Native American tribe and part of the larger Iroquois group. You can also find Stockbridge Falls along Oneida Creek.
Where Oneida Creek Flows
Oneida Creek starts in the Town of Smithfield. As it flows, it passes by the cities of Oneida and Sherrill. The creek also forms part of the border between Madison County and Oneida County. Finally, it empties into Oneida Lake near the community of South Bay. This area is in the Town of Lenox. Verona Beach State Park is located just north of where the creek meets the lake.
