Osiris Temple is a tall peak, 6,613 feet (about 2,016 meters) high, located in the famous Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. This mountain, which has a flat top like a butte, is found in Coconino County. It sits about 2.27 miles (3.65 kilometers) southwest of Shiva Temple. Osiris Temple is part of the Upper Trinity Creek area, where water flows north into the Colorado River at a place called Granite Gorge.
About Osiris Temple
Osiris Temple is the tallest of three connected mountains that stretch south towards Granite Gorge. These peaks are Osiris Temple, Horus Temple, and Tower of Set. Water from the western sides of these mountains flows into Ninetyfour Mile Creek and Canyon. On the eastern sides, water drains into Trinity Canyon.
Its Neighbors
Trinity Canyon begins near the southern side of Shiva Temple. Shiva Temple is considered the "parent" mountain of Osiris Temple. Shiva Temple is a large, flat-topped mountain covered in trees. It is one of only two such mountains that are remnants of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, which is part of the Kaibab Plateau. The other similar mountain is Wotans Throne, located near the Cape Royal viewpoint.
