Otlile "Oti" Mabuse (born 8 August 1990) is a famous dancer, TV judge, and presenter from South Africa. She lives in the United Kingdom. Oti is best known for being a professional dancer on the British TV show Strictly Come Dancing. She won this show twice, in 2019 and 2020. She also danced on the German version of the show, Let's Dance. Oti was a Dance Captain on The Greatest Dancer. She has also been a judge on The Masked Dancer and Dancing on Ice.

Early Life and Education
Oti Mabuse was born in Pretoria, South Africa. Before becoming a professional dancer, she studied civil engineering at university. Her older sister, Motsi Mabuse, is also a professional ballroom dancer. Oti first became known as a professional dancer on the German TV show Let's Dance. After that, she joined the British show Strictly Come Dancing.
Dancing Career and Achievements
Oti Mabuse won the South African Latin American Championship eight times. This was a huge achievement! After her success in South Africa, she moved to Germany. She wanted to learn even more about dancing.
She has won many awards and titles in her dancing career. In 2014, she came third in the World Cup Freestyle Latin competition. The same year, she placed second in the European Championship Latin. She also won first place in the German Championship PD Freestyle Latin.
Dancing on Let's Dance (Germany)
In 2015, Oti joined Let's Dance, the German version of Strictly Come Dancing. She danced with singer Daniel Küblböck. They did well, finishing in sixth place.
She returned for the ninth season in 2016. This time, she was partnered with TV presenter Niels Ruf. They were the first couple to leave the show in week 2.
Dancing on Strictly Come Dancing (UK)
Oti Mabuse became a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015. This is a very popular dance show in the UK.
In her first series, she danced with Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo. They were eliminated in Week 3. In 2016, she partnered with actor Danny Mac. They danced all the way to the final and finished as runners-up.
In 2017, Oti danced with Paralympic sprinter Jonnie Peacock. They reached Week 9. The next year, she was paired with England cricketer Graeme Swann. They made it to Week 10.
Oti's biggest wins came in 2019 and 2020. In 2019, she was partnered with actor Kelvin Fletcher. He joined the show at the last minute after another celebrity got injured. Oti and Kelvin became the champions of the series!
Then, in 2020, Oti won again! She was partnered with comedian and actor Bill Bailey. This made her the second professional dancer to win Strictly twice. She is also the only professional to win two years in a row.
Oti announced in February 2022 that she was leaving Strictly Come Dancing after seven amazing years.

In 2017, she went on the national Strictly Come Dancing - The Live Tour. She and Danny Mac won more shows than any other couple, as voted by the audience. She also toured the UK with fellow dancer Ian Waite.
Oti has appeared on other TV shows. She was a contestant on Tipping Point: Lucky Stars and Michael McIntyre's The Wheel. In 2019, she was a dance captain on The Greatest Dancer. She also showed off her cooking skills as a contestant on Celebrity MasterChef.
In 2020, Oti became the new host of Boogie Beebies, a dance show for young children. In 2021, she joined the judging panel for The Masked Dancer UK. In December 2021, she became a judge on Dancing on Ice.
Since April 2022, Oti has been the choreographer for The Cher Show musical tour in the UK and Ireland. In November 2024, she was a contestant on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, finishing in fourth place.
Personal Life
In 2014, Oti Mabuse married Romanian dancer Marius Iepure. They met in Germany. They moved to London from Germany in 2015. On Christmas Day 2023, Oti and Marius shared the happy news that they had welcomed their first child, a daughter.
