Palisade is a small city in Aitkin County, Minnesota, United States. In 2020, about 162 people lived there. A very famous river, the Mississippi River, flows right through this area.

History of Palisade
Palisade became an official city in 1922. Before that, a post office opened here in 1910. The city got its name from an official with the Soo Line Railroad. He named it 'Palisade' because of the tall, cliff-like banks along the Mississippi River in the area.
Geography and Location
Palisade is a small city, covering about 0.68 square miles (1.77 square kilometers) of land. It has no major lakes or rivers within its official city limits, but the Mississippi River flows nearby.
Roads and Nearby Cities
Palisade is located northeast of the city of Aitkin. It sits where several local roads, Aitkin County Roads 3, 5, and 10, meet. County Road 3 is also known as Main Street in Palisade.
The city is about 20 miles (32 km) northeast of Aitkin. It is also about 42 miles (68 km) south of Grand Rapids. Important highways like U.S. Highway 169, State Highway 65, and State Highway 210 are close by.
Palisade is part of Logan Township geographically. An off-road trail called the Soo Line North ATV Trail is also located nearby.
