Palm Island is a special neighborhood in Miami Beach, Florida. It's built on a man-made island in Biscayne Bay, Florida, United States. This beautiful island is known for its expensive homes and is only reachable by car using the MacArthur Causeway. It sits right next to Hibiscus Island. The whole island is about 82 acres big.
Island History
Palm Island was created a long time ago, in 1922. The Army Corps of Engineers used a process called dredging to build it. Dredging means digging up sand and mud from the bottom of the water and using it to create new land. This is how Palm Island, along with Hibiscus Island and Star Island, became dry land.
