Partridge Lake is a beautiful lake located in Ontario, Canada. It's part of the huge Great Lakes Basin, which is like a giant bowl that collects water flowing into the Great Lakes.

This lake is found in a place called Addington Highlands, within Lennox and Addington County. It's a peaceful spot in the Canadian wilderness.

About Partridge Lake

Partridge Lake isn't huge, but it's a lovely natural area. It stretches about 0.8 kilometres (0.5 mi) long and is about 0.5 kilometres (0.3 mi) wide. That's less than a mile long!

The lake sits quite high up, at an elevation of about 288 metres (945 ft) above sea level. Imagine standing on a hill that high!

Where is Partridge Lake?

You can find Partridge Lake about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) west of a small community called Cloyne. Cloyne is located right on Highway 41.

The lake is also very close to another lake called Skootamatta Lake. It's just 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) southwest of Skootamatta Lake's western tip.

How Water Flows In and Out

Lakes often have water flowing into them and out of them. For Partridge Lake, the main stream that brings water in is called Partridge Creek. This creek flows into the southwest side of the lake.

There are also two other smaller streams that flow into the lake. These unnamed creeks join the lake from the north and east sides.

Partridge Creek is also the main way water leaves the lake. It flows out from the southeast side. From there, the water travels through the Skootamatta River and then the Moira River.

Finally, all this water reaches the Bay of Quinte, which is a part of Lake Ontario. The Bay of Quinte is near the city of Belleville. So, the water from Partridge Lake eventually makes its way to one of the Great Lakes!
