Paul John Hollywood MBE (born 1 March 1966) is a famous English celebrity chef and TV star. He is best known as a judge on The Great British Bake Off since 2010.
Paul Hollywood started working in his father's bakery when he was a teenager. He later became a head baker at many hotels in Britain and other countries. After working in Cyprus, he started appearing on British TV shows. He began with cooking shows but also explored other topics like cars.
Early Life and Baking Start
Paul Hollywood was born in 1966 in Wallasey, Cheshire. His father owned a bakery. Paul went to The Mosslands School and also studied sculpture at the Wallasey School of Art. However, he left art school to become a baker.
He first worked in his father's bakery in York. Then, he worked in other bakeries in Merseyside. He eventually became the head baker at famous hotels like The Dorchester and Chester Grosvenor and Spa. Later, he moved to Cyprus to work at two resorts there.
