Pemberton is a small city located in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, United States. In 2020, the city had a population of 229 people. It is part of the larger Mankato-North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History of Pemberton
Pemberton started with businesses around 1894. Many of these early buildings burned down. However, in 1907, land was set aside for a new town. This was done when the "Alphabet Railroad" was planning to build a train station there. The town was named after one of the railroad officials. Pemberton officially became a city on April 26, 1946.
