The Province of Pesaro and Urbino (called Provincia di Pesaro e Urbino in Italian) is a special area in the Marche region of Italy. Its main city, or capital, is Pesaro.
This province is often called the "Riviera of Hills." It has many beautiful hills and is also famous for its lovely beaches along the coast.

Where is Pesaro and Urbino?
The Province of Pesaro and Urbino covers about 2,567.78 km2 (991 sq mi). It is the second largest province in the Marche region.
It is surrounded by different places:
- To the north, it borders the country of San Marino and the Emilia-Romagna region.
- To the west, you'll find the regions of Umbria and Tuscany.
- To the south, it touches the Province of Ancona.
- To the east, it has a long coastline along the Adriatic Sea.

Several rivers flow through the province, all heading east into the Adriatic Sea:
- The Conca river is 47 km (29 miles) long.
- The Foglia river is 90 km (56 miles) long.
- The Metauro river is the longest at 121 km (75 miles).
- The Cesano river is 62 km (39 miles) long. It also forms part of the border with the Ancona province.
The highest mountain in the province is Monte Catria. It is part of the Apennines mountain range and stands 1,701 m (5,581 ft) tall.

As of January 2017, about 360,711 people live in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino. This means there are about 140.5 people living in each square kilometer.
The number of people living in the province has grown over the years. For example, in 1961, there were around 291,639 people. By 2011, this number had increased to 362,583.
