Peter Parker's Story
Peter Parker is a teenager living in New York City. He has amazing spider-like powers. Peter lives with his kind Aunt May and his best friend is Ned Leeds.
One day, Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, visits Peter. Mr. Stark has figured out Peter is Spider-Man. He asks Peter to join him and other superheroes in a big fight against Captain America.
Becoming an Avenger
After the fight, Peter becomes an intern for the Avengers. He gets cool new technology for his Spider-Man suit. But when Peter gets into trouble with Mr. Stark, he has to face a villain called "The Vulture" all by himself. Peter proves himself and earns Mr. Stark's respect back.
Later, Peter joins Iron Man and the Avengers to fight Thanos. Thanos is a super-villain who wants to destroy half of all life in the universe. Sadly, Peter is one of the many people Thanos makes disappear.
The Snap and Its Aftermath
Luckily, Peter and everyone else who disappeared are brought back to life. This happens after Mr. Stark and the remaining Avengers find a way to fix what Thanos did. The Avengers defeat Thanos, but Mr. Stark and some other heroes lose their lives. They cannot be brought back.
After Mr. Stark's death, Peter is very sad. He promises to become stronger to honor his hero. Peter and Ned go on a school trip to London. There, Peter becomes close with another classmate, MJ, who later becomes his girlfriend.
Mysterio and Identity Revealed
In London, Peter meets Quentin Beck, who calls himself Mysterio. Mysterio seems like a good guy at first. But he is actually a scientist who used to work for Tony Stark. He was fired because he was unstable.
Peter is tricked into giving some special technology to Mysterio. Ned and MJ help Peter figure out Mysterio's plan. Peter has to rescue his friends and defeat Mysterio. But Mysterio reveals Peter's secret identity as Spider-Man to the whole world. He also tricks a "newscaster" named J. Jonah Jameson into thinking Spider-Man killed him.
A Multiverse of Trouble
Even though Peter is found innocent, his fame as Spider-Man causes problems. It affects his life, and the lives of Ned, MJ, and Aunt May. Peter asks Dr. Stephen Strange to cast a spell. This spell would make everyone forget that Peter is Spider-Man.
But Peter tries to change the spell at the last minute. He wants MJ, Ned, and Aunt May to remember him. This causes the spell to go wrong. It brings villains from other universes into their world. These villains all know Peter is Spider-Man.
Dr. Strange is upset and wants Peter to help find the villains. But Peter learns that these villains will likely die fighting their own versions of Spider-Man. Peter argues with Dr. Strange. He wants to try and cure the villains instead.
Facing the Green Goblin
Peter manages to cure Doc Ock. But the Green Goblin, who has two personalities, lets his evil side take over. The Green Goblin frees the other villains. Sadly, he also kills Aunt May.
Peter's friends, along with two other versions of Spider-Man from other universes, help him. These are "Peter Two" and "Peter Three." They help Peter feel better and track down the bad guys. Together, they cure all the villains.
A Difficult Choice
To fix everything, Peter realizes there's only one way. He must have everyone forget who he is, even his friends and family. Peter tells Dr. Strange it's okay. He says goodbye to MJ and Ned, promising to find them again someday.
After the spell is fixed, everyone goes back to their own universes. Peter is now on his own as Spider-Man, ready for new adventures.
