Philip George Proctor (born July 28, 1940) is an American actor who is famous for his voice-over work in movies, TV shows, and video games. He was also a key member of the popular comedy group the Firesign Theatre. Many people have heard his voice without even knowing it was him!

Early Life and Education
Philip Proctor was born in Goshen, Indiana, on July 28, 1940. When he was four, his family moved to New York City, where he began his career as a child actor on television.
He was a talented student and went on to study drama at the famous Yale University. His education helped him become a versatile actor, ready for many different kinds of roles on stage and screen.
A Career in Comedy and Acting
After college, Proctor's career took off. In 1964, he won a Theatre World Award for his acting in a play called The Amorous Flea. He also appeared in small roles on TV shows like All in the Family and Night Court.
Proctor is best known as a member of The Firesign Theatre, a comedy group that became famous for its clever and funny radio shows and albums. The group was active from 1966 to 2012.
