Jordan Timothy Jenks (born September 19, 1993), known as Pi'erre Bourne (pronounced pee-AIR BORN), is an American music producer, rapper, songwriter, and sound engineer. He is famous for producing hit songs like "Magnolia" for Playboi Carti and "Gummo" for 6ix9ine. Both of these songs became very popular and reached the top 30 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

After he produced "Magnolia" and other songs for Playboi Carti's first mixtape in 2017, Pi'erre Bourne's special sound tag became very well known. This tag is a voice saying, "Yo Pierre, you wanna come out here?" It's a line from an old TV show called The Jamie Foxx Show. This sound tag became a popular Internet meme and helped him become even more famous. Since then, he has worked with many big artists. These include Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, Juice Wrld, Kanye West, and Drake.

Early Life and Music Start

Jordan Jenks was born in Fort Riley, Kansas. He grew up in New York City, New York. During his summers, he would visit his grandmother in Queens. This is where he became interested in East Coast hip hop artists. Some of his early inspirations were groups like Dipset and G-Unit.

He is related to Mobile Malachi, a Reggae artist from Belize. He is also a cousin of the rapper Papoose. Pi'erre Bourne's uncle, Dwight, was a rapper and graphic artist. Inspired by his uncle, Jordan started making beats when he was in elementary school. He used a music software called FL Studio on his uncle's computer.

Music Career Highlights

Jenks studied graphic design for a year at Winthrop University but then left to focus on music. When he was 18, his uncle encouraged him to follow his music dreams. So, Jenks moved to Atlanta to study sound engineering at the SAE Institute. While in school, he met DJ Burn One. DJ Burn One told him to create his own music instead of just using samples from other songs.

After finishing school, the studio where they worked hired Jenks as a full-time engineer. In 2015, he started working as a sound engineer for Epic Records. He left a year later to focus on his own music career.

Pi'erre Bourne started producing music for artists like Young Nudy and Trippie Redd in 2016. In February 2017, he met Playboi Carti. They worked together on the song "Wokeuplikethis". Pi'erre Bourne also produced most of the songs on Playboi Carti's first album. Their song "Magnolia" became a huge hit. It reached number 29 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This success really launched Pi'erre Bourne's producing career. He went on to produce songs for many other famous artists. These include 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, and Lil Uzi Vert. He also started his own series of mixtapes called The Life of Pi'erre. He even has his own music label, SossHouse, which works with Interscope Records.

He produced "Watch" for Travis Scott, which featured Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert. He also produced Playboi Carti's album Die Lit. Pi'erre Bourne also helped produce two of Kanye West's albums, Ye and Jesus Is King.

On May 8, 2019, Pi'erre Bourne and Young Nudy released a joint mixtape called Sli'merre. This project had 12 songs and featured popular artists like DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion. All the songs on Sli'merre were produced by Pi'erre. The album became very popular, reaching number 1 on Apple Music's U.S. All Genres chart. It also reached number 63 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In March 2020, Pi'erre Bourne became the number 1 producer on Billboard's Hot 100 Producers chart. This was because he produced four songs on the deluxe version of Lil Uzi Vert's album, Eternal Atake.

In June 2020, a deluxe version of his album The Life of Pi'erre 4 was released. Pi'erre Bourne also produced the song "Pain 1993" for Drake's Dark Lane Demo Tapes. This song featured Playboi Carti and reached number 7 on the Hot 100 chart.

In March 2021, Pi'erre Bourne won his first Grammy Award. He won it for his production work on Kanye West's album, Jesus Is King. On June 11, 2021, Pi'erre Bourne released his second studio album, The Life of Pi'erre 5. This album was released through Interscope Records and his SossHouse label. He produced the entire album himself, and it featured artists like Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti.

On August 26, 2022, Pi'erre Bourne released a new song called "Good Movie". A week later, on September 2, 2022, he released his third studio album with the same name. This album featured Don Toliver and his frequent collaborator Young Nudy.

In February 2023, he released the song "IG". Fans had heard parts of this song before on his Instagram live videos. This song was the first single from his EP (Extended Play) called Grails. The EP was released on April 14, 2023, and included other popular songs like "Honeyberry 2".

Pi'erre Bourne's fourth studio album, 'Made in Paris', is planned to be released in 2025.

Pi'erre Bourne's Music Style

Pi'erre Bourne is inspired by many artists. Some of his influences include Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane, and Kanye West. Like Kanye West, Pi'erre Bourne wants to keep producing music for others while also being a rapper himself.

Music critics describe Pi'erre Bourne's productions as having "airy video-game melodies with classic trap drums." His beats often use synth pads and flute sounds. These sounds usually switch between two or three chords.
