Pinto is a town and a type of local government area called a commune in Chile. It is located in the Diguillín Province within the Ñuble Region.

This commune shares its borders with several other places. To the north, it borders Coihueco. To the west, you'll find Chillán and San Ignacio. To the south, it borders El Carmen and Antuco. Pinto also shares its eastern border with Argentina, specifically with the Neuquén Province.

According to a census taken in 2002 by the National Statistics Institute, Pinto covers an area of about 1,164 square kilometers. At that time, 9,875 people lived there.
