Prague is a small village in Saunders County, Nebraska, United States. In 2020, about 291 people lived there. The village got its name from Prague, which is the capital city of Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic). Even though it's spelled like the big city, people in Nebraska say its name differently. It rhymes with the name "Craig."

History of Prague, Nebraska
Prague was officially started in 1887. This happened when the railroad lines were built to reach that area. Many of the first people who settled here came from Bohemia. Because of this, they decided to name the new village "Prague."

Prague is famous for something special: it's known as the home of the world's largest kolach. A kolach is a type of sweet Czech pastry. You can see a sign about this giant kolach along Nebraska Highway 79 when you drive into town from the south. It's a fun fact about the village!
