Early Life and Education

Prasoon Joshi grew up in Uttarakhand, a state in northern India. His father, D.K. Joshi, worked in the state's education department. His book Sunshine Lanes, a collection of his songs, was released in 2013. In 2016, he published Thinking Aloud, a book of essays about modern India.

Prasoon studied Physics for his bachelor's and master's degrees. Then, he decided to get an MBA from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. During his MBA, he realized he could combine his love for art and business. This led him to choose a career in advertising.
