Quartier DIX30 is a large shopping and entertainment area in Brossard, Quebec. It's known as Canada's first "lifestyle centre." This means it's designed to feel like a lively downtown area, with many different shops, restaurants, and fun activities. It covers a huge space in Brossard.

Quartier DIX30 was created to give people living in the suburbs of Montreal a cool place to shop and hang out. Its name, which means "TEN30 District" in English, comes from its location. It sits near the corner of two major highways: Autoroute 10 and Autoroute 30.

You can get to Quartier DIX30 using Réseau de transport de Longueuil buses. There will also be a new light metro station called Du Quartier here in the future.

How Quartier DIX30 Grew

Quartier DIX30 was built in several stages, or "phases," over many years. Each phase added more stores, restaurants, and attractions.

Phase 1: The Beginning (September 2006)

The first part of Quartier DIX30 opened in September 2006. This phase included many retail spaces, with about 78 different shops and restaurants. It was a big step in creating this unique shopping area.

Phase 2: More Stores and Parking (April 2007)

In April 2007, 40 more stores opened their doors. These included popular foreign fashion shops, electronics stores, and well-known restaurant chains. This phase also brought free underground parking, making it easier for visitors to find a spot.

Later in 2007, the ALT Hotel was built. This hotel offers stylish and comfortable rooms at an affordable price. Right next to the hotel, a new entertainment complex opened. It has a large theatre for shows and concerts, a spa, and a gym.

Around this time, other big stores also opened nearby. These included a Bureau en Gros (office supplies), a Safari Pet Centre (the biggest pet store in Quebec), a Canadian Tire store, a RONA hardware store, and a large Wal-Mart.

Phase 3: New Additions (Winter 2009 & Summer 2013)

This phase brought even more to Quartier DIX30. It added about 200 new shops and restaurants. These new areas were built between the Bell Sports Complex and the Cineplex Odeon movie theatre.

By summer 2013, many more fashion brands arrived, like Lacoste, Michael Kors, Pandora, Zara, and Apple. This phase also added more restaurants, banks, another live theatre, office buildings, and a toy superstore. A new heated underground parking lot with 2,000 free spaces was also part of this expansion.

Bell Sports Complex

The Montreal Canadiens hockey team and the City of Brossard worked together to build the Bell Sports Complex. This is a large sports facility that cost a lot of money to build. It has two ice rinks that are the same size as those used in the NHL. Each rink can hold up to 800 people watching a game.

The complex also has changing rooms, an indoor soccer field that meets international standards, and a fitness centre. It is open to everyone and is located right next to the Quartier DIX30 shopping area. The Bell Sports Complex is mainly used by the Montreal Canadiens for practice. However, it also hosts other sports groups, like a soccer academy called Foot-Total.
