Quavious Keyate Marshall (born April 2, 1991), known as Quavo, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and music producer. He was the main member of the hip hop group Migos. The group started in 2008 with his nephew Takeoff and their friend Offset. Migos released four successful albums before they stopped making music together in 2023.
As a solo artist, Quavo has been featured on many popular songs. Six of these songs reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. These include "Congratulations" by Post Malone and "Intentions" by Justin Bieber. He also appeared on "I'm the One" by DJ Khaled, which reached number one. His first solo album, Quavo Huncho (2018), reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart. His second album, Rocket Power (2023), was released to honor Takeoff, who passed away the year before.

Early Life and School
Quavious Keyate Marshall was born on April 2, 1991, in Athens, Georgia. He grew up in Gwinnett County, near Atlanta, with Takeoff and Offset.
Quavo went to Berkmar High School. He was the starting quarterback for the football team in his senior year, 2009. He played well, helping his team win a game. Quavo completed 28 passes in one game, which was a record back then. Even though he finished the football season, Quavo left high school before graduating. He later earned his high school diploma in May 2020.
Music Career
Forming Migos
Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset formed their group in 2008. Quavo and Takeoff were related; Quavo was Takeoff's uncle, and they grew up together. The group was first called Polo Club, but they changed it to "Migos." They released their first mixtape, Juug Season, in 2011. Their second mixtape, No Label, came out in 2012.
Rising to Fame
Migos became very popular in 2013 with their song "Versace." The famous rapper Drake made a remix of the song. "Versace" reached number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Quavo also had his first solo song, "Champions," which featured other artists. This song reached number 71 on the Billboard Hot 100.
After Migos' second album, Culture, became number one, Quavo was featured on many hit songs. These included "Congratulations" and "I'm the One." He also worked with rapper Travis Scott on the song "Pick Up the Phone." They later made a full album together.
In 2017, Quavo was on the song "Go Off" for The Fate of the Furious movie soundtrack. He also released "Ice Tray" with Lil Yachty, which reached number 74 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Solo Albums and Collaborations
On December 21, 2017, Quavo announced his album with Travis Scott, called Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho. It was released the next day and reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Many songs from the album also appeared on the Billboard Hot 100.
Migos released their album Culture II in January 2018. After that, Quavo announced his own solo album, Quavo Huncho. This album came out on October 12, 2018. It included popular songs like "Workin Me", which was his highest-charting solo single. The album featured many guest artists, including Drake, Cardi B, and Travis Scott.
In 2019, Quavo performed his song "Future" with Madonna at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. In 2020, he was featured on Justin Bieber's song "Intentions," which reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100. The next year, Migos released their fourth album, Culture III.
Unc & Phew and Recent Work
Quavo and Takeoff formed a duo called Unc & Phew. They released an album together called Only Built for Infinity Links in October 2022. Quavo said he wanted to focus on their music as a duo.
Sadly, on November 1, 2022, Takeoff passed away in Houston, Texas. In early 2023, Quavo released three songs, "Honey Bun," "Greatness," and "Without You," in memory of Takeoff. He then announced his second solo album, Rocket Power, which was released on August 18, 2023. The album included the hit song "Turn Yo Clic Up" featuring Future.
In 2024, Quavo released new music. He was featured on the song Tough with singer Lana Del Rey, which came out on July 3, 2024.
Other Activities
Acting Roles
Quavo and the Migos group first appeared on TV in Donald Glover's show Atlanta in 2016. He also had small roles in other TV shows like Star (2018), Black-ish (2019), and Ballers (2019). In 2020, he appeared in the YouTube series Justin Bieber: Seasons and the show Narcos: Mexico.
Quavo has also acted in movies. He played a character named Coyote in the thriller film Savage Salvation, released in 2022. In 2023, he starred as Ty in the film Praise This, which is about a gospel choir competition. He also appeared in the 2024 film Cash Out and is set to voice a character in the upcoming film Sneaks.
Sports
Quavo is also known for his love of sports. He won the MVP Award at the 2018 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game for scoring 19 points. He played in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game again in 2019 and 2020.
He is also one of the owners of the FCF Glacier Boyz, a team in the Fan Controlled Football League.
Personal Life
Quavo dated singer Saweetie starting in September 2018. They ended their relationship in March 2021.
