Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao (born March 3, 1997) is an American singer and songwriter. She became famous as a member of the pop girl group Fifth Harmony. This group became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.

While with the group, Camila started her solo career. She released songs like "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes. Another hit was "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly. This song reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. She left Fifth Harmony in late 2016.

Camila's first solo album, Camila (2018), went to number one on the US Billboard 200. It was certified platinum, meaning it sold over a million copies. The album was inspired by Latin music. Early Life and Education

Camila Cabello was born in Havana, Cuba. Her parents are Alejandro Cabello and Sinuhe Estrabao. Her father was born in Mexico City and moved to Cuba. Camila has a younger sister named Sofia. When she was young, Camila and her family often moved between Havana and Mexico City. She gained Mexican nationality in 1997.

When Camila was six, she moved to Miami, Florida, with her mother. They crossed the border from Mexico to the United States. Her mother told her they were going to Disneyworld to make the trip exciting. They stayed with a friend of her grandfather's, who became her godmother. Camila Cabello tried out for the TV show The X Factor in Greensboro, North Carolina. She sang "Respect" by Aretha Franklin. She was eliminated during the "bootcamp" part of the show. However, she was called back to the stage with other singers: Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane. They formed a girl group that became Fifth Harmony. The group finished in third place on the show. They then signed a record deal with Syco Music and Epic Records.

Fifth Harmony released an EP called Better Together (2013). They also released two studio albums: Reflection (2015) and 7/27 (2016). On July 23, 2021, Camila released "Don't Go Yet". This was the first song from her third album, Familia. On October 15, 2021, she performed "La Buena Vida" from Familia at an NPR Tiny Desk Concert. On October 29, 2021, Camila released "Oh Na Na" with Myke Towers and Tainy, but it was not on the album. Forbes magazine called Familia one of the most anticipated pop albums of 2022. Camila also performed a cover of Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U", which won an iHeartRadio Music Award.

In late 2021, Camila starred in the movie Cinderella. It was released on Amazon Prime Video on September 3, 2021. Cinderella was the most-watched streaming movie over the Labour Day weekend.
