The Rapid River is a short but important river in central Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located about 13 kilometers (8 miles) east of a community called Stanley Mission. This river is part of a bigger water system that eventually flows into Hudson Bay.

About the Rapid River

The Rapid River is about 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) long. It starts from Iskwatikan Lake, which is downstream from Lac la Ronge. The river then flows north, creating two cool features: the Nistowiak Falls and the Fisher Rapids. Nistowiak Falls is actually one of the tallest waterfalls in Saskatchewan!

The river ends when it flows into Nistowiak Lake, which is part of the Churchill River system. The entire Rapid River is located inside Lac La Ronge Provincial Park. This means the area around the river is protected and great for nature lovers.
