Ray Fisher (born September 8, 1987) is an American actor. He is well-known for playing the superhero Victor Stone, also known as Cyborg. You might have seen him as Cyborg in the movie Justice League (2017).
On TV, Ray Fisher has appeared in the crime drama series True Detective in 2019. He also starred in the limited series Women of the Movement in 2022. Ray made his first appearance on Broadway in 2022 in the play The Piano Lesson. He also acted in the 2024 movie version of the same play.

Early Life and School
Ray Fisher was born on September 8, 1987, in Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up in Lawnside, New Jersey. His mother and grandmother raised him there.
Ray went to Haddon Heights High School. While in high school, he worked at a movie theater snack bar. His English and history teachers helped him get into musical theater. He performed in school plays like Into the Woods, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Guys and Dolls. After high school, Ray studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
Ray Fisher's Acting Career
Ray Fisher started his acting career in theater. In 2008, he played Dr. Marcus Blake in a musical called Attorney for the Damned. The next year, he acted in William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. He performed at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.
He also had a small part in the play Fetch Clay, Make Man in 2010. Later, he starred in To Kill a Mockingbird at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Ray also performed in plays like King Lear and Cymbeline at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
Playing Muhammad Ali
In 2013, Ray Fisher played the famous boxer Muhammad Ali in the play Fetch Clay, Make Man. To get ready for this role, he worked very hard. He gained 20 pounds of muscle, going from 193 to 212 pounds. Ray said he had to "lift—bench presses, curls, squats, calf raises" to get used to his new body.
Becoming Cyborg
Ray Fisher first appeared as the superhero Victor Stone, also known as Cyborg, in the 2016 movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It was a small appearance, but important. Cyborg was the first black superhero in the DC Extended Universe movies.
He played Cyborg again in the 2017 movie Justice League. This movie had many famous superheroes. In 2021, Ray Fisher returned as Cyborg in Zack Snyder's Justice League. This was a special longer version of the Justice League movie. Critics praised his performance, noting his "mix of rage and vulnerability."
