Reggie Jermaine Torbor, born on January 25, 1981, is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Reggie played college football for the Auburn Tigers. The New York Giants chose him in the 2004 NFL draft.
He also played for the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. Reggie won a Super Bowl ring with the Giants in Super Bowl XLII. They beat the New England Patriots in that big game.

Reggie's Early Life
Reggie Torbor went to Robert E. Lee High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There, he played high school football as both a running back and a linebacker.
As a junior, he ran for 1,563 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. In his senior year, he gained 1,241 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He was chosen for the All-State team. By the end of his high school career, he had made 18 sacks.
College Football Career
After high school, Reggie went to Auburn University. He played football there for four years. In his senior year, he played in all 13 games. He made 38 tackles, which means he stopped the player with the ball.
He also had 10.5 sacks, which is when a player tackles the quarterback. Reggie forced four fumbles and recovered one. For his great play, he was named to the Second-team All-SEC.
Reggie finished his college career having played 46 games. He had 120 tackles, 19.5 sacks, and forced five fumbles. His total number of sacks was the fifth-highest in Auburn's history at that time.
Reggie's NFL Journey
Reggie Torbor was picked by the New York Giants in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL draft. He was the 97th player chosen overall.
Playing for the New York Giants
In his first year, 2004, Reggie played in all 16 games for the Giants. He started one game against the Washington Redskins. In a game against the Baltimore Ravens, Reggie sacked their quarterback, Kyle Boller. He forced a fumble that his teammate, Osi Umenyiora, picked up and ran 50 yards for a touchdown.
In the last game of the season, he helped sack the Dallas Cowboys quarterback. He also recovered a fumble that led to another Giants touchdown. Reggie ended his rookie year with 21 tackles and three sacks.
Before the 2005 season, Reggie changed his jersey number from 58 to 53. He started nine games that year. He made 34 tackles and had his first NFL interception against the St. Louis Rams. He also recovered a fumble from the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.
In 2006, Reggie played in all 16 regular season games again. He made 16 tackles and had one sack. He was also very good on special teams, making 14 tackles. This tied him for the team lead.

Playing for the Buffalo Bills
Reggie then signed with the Buffalo Bills on June 5, 2010. He started 10 games in 2010 and made 41 tackles. In 2011, he hurt his shoulder during training camp. This injury caused him to be placed on injured reserve, which meant he couldn't play.
