A Look Back: Revere's History
Revere was first planned out and marked on a map in 1886. This process is called 'platting.' The city got its name from Paul Revere, a famous hero from the American Revolution. Revere officially became an organized city in 1900.

Revere is a very small city, covering an area of about 0.573 square miles (1.483 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
The city is located right along U.S. Highway 14. If you travel west from Revere, you'll reach Walnut Grove. If you go east, you'll find Lamberton.
