Lamberton is a small city located in Redwood County, Minnesota, in the United States. In 2020, about 792 people lived there. This makes Lamberton a close-knit community.

History of Lamberton
Lamberton was officially planned and marked out in 1873. It was named after Henry Wilson Lamberton, who worked for the railroad. A post office started operating in Lamberton in the same year, 1873. The town became an official city in 1879.
Geography and Location
Lamberton covers a total area of about 1.98 square kilometers (0.76 square miles). All of this area is land. There are no large bodies of water within the city limits.
The city is located along U.S. Highway 14. This important highway runs from east to west. It connects Lamberton to Springfield in the east and Revere in the west.
Climate in Lamberton
Lamberton experiences a type of weather known as a hot-summer humid continental climate. This means it has warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. On climate maps, this is often shown as "Dfa".
The hottest temperature ever recorded in Lamberton was 41 degrees Celsius (106 degrees Fahrenheit). This happened on June 15, 1979, and again on August 1, 1988. The coldest temperature recorded was -37 degrees Celsius (-34 degrees Fahrenheit). This was on January 19, 1970, and again from January 21–22, 1970.

Most of the people in Lamberton were White (96.7%). There were also smaller groups of Native American (0.2%) and Asian (1.6%) residents. About 1.9% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino.
In terms of households, about 20.8% had children under 18 living with them. Many households (44.0%) were married couples living together. About 42.1% of all households were made up of just one person. A significant number (23.5%) were individuals aged 65 or older living alone.
The average age of people in Lamberton was 50.3 years old. About 21% of residents were under 18, and 33% were 65 or older. The city had slightly more females (53.9%) than males (46.1%).
