Rolling is a small town located in Langlade County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 1,504 people lived there. A smaller community called Elmhurst is also part of the town of Rolling. The town once had its own post office, which opened in 1882 but closed just two years later in 1884.

Where is Rolling Located?

Rolling is in the southern part of Langlade County. To its south is Shawano County. To the west, it shares a border with Marathon County. Part of the city of Antigo, which is the main city in Langlade County, is to the north of Rolling.

The town of Rolling covers a total area of about 93.2 square kilometers (about 36 square miles). Most of this area is land. Only a tiny part, about 0.12 square kilometers (0.05 square miles), is water.

Rivers and Waterways

The northwest part of Rolling has a stream called Spring Brook. This stream flows southwest into the Eau Claire River. The Eau Claire River then joins the Wisconsin River. All these rivers are part of the larger Mississippi River system.

The southeast part of Rolling is hillier. Water from this area flows into the Middle Branch of the Embarrass River. This river goes southeast towards the Wolf River. Eventually, the water reaches Green Bay, which is part of Lake Michigan.
