Roseland is a small community in Indian River County, Florida, United States. It is known as an "unincorporated community." This means it's a place where people live together but it doesn't have its own city government.
Roseland is also a "census-designated place" (CDP). This is a special area the government uses to count people and gather information. In 2020, about 1,591 people lived there. Roseland is part of a larger area that includes the nearby towns of Sebastian and Vero Beach.

Where is Roseland?
Roseland is located in the northern part of Indian River County in Florida. It sits near the St. Sebastian River to the north. This river forms the border with Brevard County.
To the south of Roseland is the city of Sebastian. To the north, in Brevard County, is another community called Micco. On its eastern side, Roseland is next to the Indian River and the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is a special place for birds and wildlife.
Getting Around Roseland
A major road, U.S. Route 1, goes through the eastern part of Roseland. This road can take you north about 19 miles (31 km) to Melbourne. If you go south on U.S. Route 1, you'll reach Vero Beach in about 15 miles (24 km).
Roseland covers a total area of about 3.2 square miles (8.0 square kilometers). About 1.9 square miles (4.9 square kilometers) of this is land, and the rest, about 1.3 square miles (3.1 square kilometers), is water.

In 2000, there were 1,775 people living in Roseland. They lived in 842 households, and 506 of these were families. The number of people living in Roseland changed to 1,472 in 2010, and then increased to 1,591 in 2020.
Many different types of households make up the community. About half of the households were married couples living together. Some households had children under 18. Other households were made up of individuals living alone, especially people aged 65 or older.

Notable People
- Arlo Guthrie, a famous folk singer known for songs like Alice's Restaurant, owns a home in Roseland. His house was damaged by hurricanes Frances and Jeanne in 2004. He later had some disagreements with the county about the repair work.
