Ross's Mixed Martial Arts Journey
Becoming a Reality TV Star
In 2009, Ross Pearson joined a reality TV show called The Ultimate Fighter: United States vs. United Kingdom. This show helps new fighters get into the UFC. Ross did very well and won first place in the lightweight division.
Fighting in the UFC
Ross Pearson had many exciting fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was known for his strong punches.
Early UFC Fights (2010-2011)
Ross won his first UFC fight against Dennis Siver in March 2010. Later that year, he lost to Cole Miller. In 2011, he beat Spencer Fisher and then had a tough fight against Edson Barboza. Even though Ross lost to Barboza, their fight was so exciting that it won the "Fight of the Night" award.
After this, Ross decided to try fighting in a lighter weight class called Featherweight. He won his first fight at this new weight against Junior Assunção.
Coaching and Comebacks (2012-2013)
In 2012, Ross became a coach for Team UK on another season of The Ultimate Fighter, called The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes. He then returned to the Lightweight division and won against George Sotiropoulos.
In 2013, Ross continued his winning streak by beating Ryan Couture. He then fought Melvin Guillard, but the fight ended early because Ross was accidentally hit with an illegal knee and couldn't continue.
Big Fights and Awards (2014-2015)
In 2014, Ross had a very close fight against Diego Sanchez. Most people thought Ross won, but the judges gave the win to Sanchez. Even the UFC president, Dana White, thought Ross won and paid him a special bonus. Ross then won against Gray Maynard with a TKO.
In 2015, Ross had a great knockout win against Sam Stout. This impressive win earned him a "Performance of the Night" bonus. He also won a close fight against Paul Felder.
Weight Changes and Later Fights (2016-2019)
