Säffle Municipality (Säffle kommun) is a local area in west-central Sweden. It is part of Värmland County. The main town, or "seat," of the municipality is Säffle.
Säffle became a city in 1951, being the last place in Sweden to get that title. In 1971, the current municipality was formed. This happened when the city of Säffle joined together with the smaller rural areas around it.
The municipality includes a large peninsula called Värmlandsnäs that reaches into Lake Vänern. It also has many small islands in the lake, forming a big fresh water archipelago.
