Sana Minatozaki (born December 29, 1996) is a popular Japanese singer. She is known by her stage name, Sana. She lives and works in South Korea. Sana is a member of the famous K-pop girl group Twice. This group was created in 2015 by JYP Entertainment.

Sana's Early Life
Sana was born on December 29, 1996, in Osaka, Japan. She grew up as an only child. From a young age, Sana knew she wanted to be a singer and dancer. She was inspired by the well-known K-pop group Girls' Generation.
Sana's Journey to Stardom
Starting Her Training
Sana began her dance training in Osaka in 2009. At first, she planned to become a singer in Japan. But one day, while she was shopping, someone from JYP Entertainment noticed her. They invited her to an audition the very next day.
Sana passed the audition! In April 2012, she moved to South Korea to join JYP Entertainment's training program. She trained for more than three years. This training helped her get ready to debut with the group Twice.
Becoming a Member of Twice
In 2015, Sana took part in a TV show called Sixteen. This show was a competition to choose the members of a new girl group. Out of sixteen contestants, Sana was chosen as one of the nine members. This new group became Twice.
Sana officially debuted with Twice in October 2015. Their first song was "Like Ooh-Ahh." It was part of their first album, The Story Begins.
Solo Music and New Groups
In February 2021, Sana released her first solo song. It was a cover of a Japanese song called "Sotsugyou." She released it as a digital single.
On February 9, 2023, JYP Entertainment announced something exciting. Sana, along with her bandmates Momo and Mina, would form a new sub-unit. This smaller group is called MiSaMo. They debuted in Japan on July 26 with an album called Masterpiece. Before their debut, they released a song called "Bouquet." It was used in a Japanese TV drama.

Outside of Twice, Sana has worked with many different brands. In 2021, she and her bandmate Dahyun became models for A'pieu, a skincare brand. In 2022, Sana became a model for Wakemake, a makeup brand.
In 2023, Sana became an ambassador for more brands. These included the skincare brand Missha and the makeup brand Espoir. She also became the first Japanese ambassador for the jewelry company Graff. Later that year, she was named a brand ambassador for the fashion house Prada. In December 2023, she became the official Japanese ambassador for the French luxury brand Yves Saint Laurent.
Sana's Music and TV Appearances
