Starting at Nice
Saïd Benrahma began his youth football journey in Algeria. He then moved to France and joined several youth teams. In 2013, he joined the big French club Nice. He made his first professional appearance in the 2013–14 season. However, he mostly played for the club's reserve team. He scored 11 goals in 37 games for the reserve team. For the main team, he scored one goal in the 2014–15 season and two more in 2015–16.
Later in his time at Nice, Benrahma faced some ankle injuries. He also spent time playing for other clubs on loan. These clubs included Angers, Gazélec, and Châteauroux. He left Nice in July 2018. He had played 18 games and scored three goals for the club.
Playing for Brentford

After recovering from an injury, Benrahma started playing very well. He scored nine goals in 14 league matches. He was even nominated for player awards. One of his goals was chosen as the Championship Goal of the Month. He scored a hat-trick in a big 5–1 win against Hull City. An ankle injury ended his season early in April 2019. By then, he had played 45 games and scored 11 goals.
In the 2019–20 season, Benrahma continued to shine. Fans voted him as Brentford's Player of the Year. He was also named in the Championship PFA Team of the Year. He played 46 games and scored 17 goals, including two hat-tricks. His great performances helped Brentford reach the 2020 Championship play-off final.
Time at West Ham United
On 16 October 2020, Benrahma joined Premier League club West Ham United. He first joined on a loan deal. This meant he played for them for a season, with a plan to join permanently later. He made his first appearance for West Ham on 31 October.
On 29 January 2021, West Ham signed Benrahma permanently. They paid about £25 million for him. This made him one of West Ham's most expensive players. On 15 May 2021, he scored his first goal for West Ham. It was in a league game against Brighton & Hove Albion.
On 6 November 2022, he scored a very powerful goal against Crystal Palace. It was measured as the fastest goal in the Premier League that season. Moving to Lyon
On 2 February 2024, Benrahma officially joined Lyon on loan. The loan lasted until the end of the season. Lyon paid £5.1 million for the loan. They also had an option to buy him permanently for £12.3 million. In June 2024, Lyon decided to sign him permanently.
