Movie Story: Scooby's Spooky School Adventure
Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, and Scrappy-Doo are heading to a new job. They think they will be gym teachers at Miss Grimwood's Finishing School for Girls. But when they arrive, they get a big surprise! It's actually a school for ghoul girls.
The students are daughters of famous monsters. There's Sibella, Count Dracula's daughter, and Elsa Frankenteen, Frankenstein's monster's daughter. Winnie is the daughter of the Wolfman. Phantasma, or Phanty, is the ghostly daughter of a phantom. And Tanis is the daughter of the Mummy. These characters are fun tributes to old monster movies.
Other spooky residents include a floating hand and an octopus butler. There's also Legs, a helpful spider, and Miss Grimwood, the headmistress. Her tiny pet dragon, Matches, is also around. Shaggy and Scooby are scared at first. But they decide to stay and teach gym class.
Their first morning starts with ballet lessons. Then, it's time for gym class. The girls need to train for a volleyball match. They will play against the boys from Calloway Military Academy next door. The boys try to cheat by using a remote-controlled volleyball. But Scooby accidentally swallows the remote. This helps the girls win the game!
On Halloween night, the girls' fathers visit for Open House. Before they leave, they warn Shaggy and Scooby. They must keep their daughters safe, or else! Meanwhile, a powerful witch named Revolta, the Witch of the Web, has a bad plan. She wants to kidnap the girls and make them her slaves.
Revolta starts by hypnotizing Shaggy. She makes him take the girls on a field trip to the Barren Bog. The Calloway Cadets are also at the bog that day. Revolta and her helper, the Grim Creeper, use spider bats to capture the girls. Revolta then brews a potion. This potion will turn the girls evil forever at midnight.
Scooby, Scrappy, Shaggy, and Matches team up with the Calloway cadets. They manage to save the girls just in time. Revolta's evil plan is stopped!
Even though their students love them, Shaggy and Scooby get scared again. New monsters like an alien, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Godzilla enroll their daughters for the next year. Shaggy and Scooby run away in terror. As they leave, the girls and Matches wave goodbye. Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy give a final werewolf howl before driving off.
Characters: Who's Who at Grimwood?
This section introduces the students and staff at Miss Grimwood's school. It also covers the boys from the nearby military academy and the villains.
Grimwood Residents: The Monster Girls and Staff
These girls are the children of famous horror monsters. But unlike their parents, they are not evil.
- Miss Grimwood - She is the headmistress of the school. She wears a red cape and has short black hair. Her pet dragon is named Matches.
- Matches - This small, light-green dragon is Miss Grimwood's pet. He acts like a guard dog. Matches can breathe fire to heat things up. His body turns dark red when he uses his fire. He gets angry if he gets wet. Matches often got mad at Scooby at first. But he later became friends with Scooby after Scooby saved him.
- Sibella - She is Count Dracula's daughter. Sibella has light purple skin and purple hair. She can turn into a bat whenever she wants. She uses this power to help people or deliver things like pizza. Unlike her father, sunlight does not hurt her. Sibella is the strongest-willed of the girls. She tries to fight Revolta's hypnosis spell. She often uses fun vampire words like "fangtastic."
- Elsa Frankenteen - She is the daughter of Frankenstein's monster. Elsa is tall and strong. She wears a green dress. Her black hair stands up, like the Bride of Frankenstein. She can handle electric shocks. Elsa has a deeper voice than the other girls.
- Winnie - She is the daughter of the Wolfman. Winnie often howls before she speaks. She does not turn back into a human during the day. She has light brown fur and orange, curly hair. Winnie is very talkative and can be loud. She also likes to compete.
- Phantasma - Everyone calls her "Phanty" for short. She is the ghostly daughter of the Phantom. Phanty has white hair with a blue streak and pale blue skin. She can float through walls and doors. She loves music and has a good sense of humor.
- Tanis - She is the Mummy's daughter. Tanis is the smallest and youngest of the girls. She has big blue eyes. She often gets tangled in her bandages. Her friends have to help untangle and re-wrap her. Tanis is shy and nervous. Scooby likes her right away because she is so innocent.
In the movie's last scene, new monster daughters arrive. These include the daughters of an alien, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Godzilla. But Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy leave before meeting them.
Calloway Cadets: The Military School Boys
These boys attend Colonel Calloway's Military School. It is located right next to Grimwood. They often say "affirmative" (yes) or "negative" (no).
- Colonel Calloway - He is the strict but fair head of the military school. He seems to like Miss Grimwood.
- Tug Roper - He is the leader of the cadets. Tug tries to be dignified. He even tries to cheat in the volleyball game. But his team still loses.
- Miguel - He is the inventor of the group. His inventions often get messed up by the others.
- Jamal Williams - He is the tallest and most skilled cadet. Colonel Calloway seems to like him a lot. Jamal always says "affirmative" to positive statements.
- Grunt - He is the largest cadet. Even though he is big, he is very athletic and strong.
- Baxter - He is the smallest cadet. Baxter seems to be the most obedient. He follows the colonel's every word.
Villains: The Bad Guys of the Story
These are the characters who try to cause trouble for the ghoul girls.
- Revolta - She is the Witch of the Web. Revolta wants to make the ghoul school students her slaves. She believes their parents have become "soft." Her main magic is mind control. She uses spider bats to put web-like headphones on victims. Then she gives commands through the headphones. She can also make potions to turn others evil forever.
- Grim Creeper - He is Revolta's helper. He looks like a green pumpkin with long vine limbs. He has one eye in the middle of his head.
- Mirror Monster - This monster lives in one of Revolta's mirrors. It can change into anyone who looks into the mirror. In the movie, it traps Shaggy in the mirror. It then pretends to be Shaggy. Scooby tricks it into thinking he is a slave. Matches later burns the monster, and it jumps back into the mirror, freeing Shaggy.
