Sea Cliff, sometimes spelled Seacliff, is a beautiful neighborhood in the northwest part of San Francisco, California. It's famous for its really big houses and amazing views of the ocean. Sea Cliff is one of eight special "residence parks" in San Francisco. These parks were carefully planned out, and Sea Cliff's design was created by a landscape architect named Mark Daniels. It's known as one of San Francisco's most fancy places to live.

Where is Sea Cliff?

Sea Cliff is right next to the big Pacific Ocean and a popular spot called Baker Beach. It is located southwest of the Presidio of San Francisco, which is a large park, and east of Lincoln Park.

What Makes Sea Cliff Special?

Houses in the Sea Cliff neighborhood are very large. Many of them offer incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, the famous Golden Gate Bridge, and the beautiful Marin Headlands across the bay.

There are also some cool public places in the neighborhood:

  • A small, pretty beach called China Beach.
  • A national park area known as Land's End, which has walking trails and stunning ocean views.

  • The Hanson House at 126 27th Avenue was built in 1907 by architect John Charles Flugger.
  • 50 Scenic Way was built in 1921 for Maude Strowbridge by architect Julia Morgan.
  • 60 Mclaren and 455 Sea Cliff were designed by Albert L. Farr.
  • 8 Sea Cliff Avenue was designed by architect Edward G. Bowles.
