Seantrel Henderson (born January 21, 1992) is an American former professional football player. He played as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). The Buffalo Bills picked him in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft. He played college football for the University of Miami.
Henderson went to Cretin-Derham Hall High School. He first planned to play college football at the University of Southern California. However, he later decided to go to the University of Miami instead.

Early Life and High School Football
Seantrel Henderson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was considered one of the best young football players in his age group. Experts like Rivals.com and USA Today praised his skills. USA Today even named him their Offensive Player of the Year, which was special because he was a lineman. Some compared him to famous NFL players like Jonathan Ogden and Orlando Pace.
In 2009, Henderson helped his high school team, Cretin-Derham Hall, win a state championship. He was also named Minnesota Player of the Year by the Associated Press. This was a big deal because it was rare for a lineman to win that award.
Besides football, Henderson was also good at other sports. He played basketball for a team called the "Howard Pulley Panthers." He also competed in track and field events like shot put and discus. He even won several events at the USATF 2004 Minnesota Junior Olympics.
College Football Career
Henderson started his college football journey at the University of Miami. As a new student, called a true freshman, he played in 12 games and started 9 of them. He mostly played as a right tackle. Because of his strong performance, he was named an All-Freshman by several sports groups.
In 2011, Henderson played in eight games after recovering from back surgery. He faced some challenges during his time at Miami. In 2012, he was involved in a car accident and suffered a concussion, which caused him to miss some practices. He also missed some games due to team rules.
Despite these challenges, Henderson continued to play well. In the 2012 season, he started seven games at right tackle. He was recognized as an honorable mention for the All-Atlantic Coast Conference team. He chose to stay at Miami for his senior year instead of entering the NFL draft early. After the 2013 season, he was again named an honorable mention for the All-Atlantic Coast Conference team.
Before the 2014 Senior Bowl, a game for top college players, Henderson spoke openly about his past challenges. He wanted to show NFL teams that he was ready to move forward and play professionally.

Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills picked Seantrel Henderson in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft. He was the 237th player chosen overall.
In his first year, 2014, Henderson started all 16 games as a right tackle. He played very well as a rookie and was recognized for his strong performance.
In 2015, Henderson faced a health challenge when he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. This condition caused him to miss the last three games of the season.
In 2016, he had surgery for his Crohn's disease. He later announced he would return to play. However, he faced suspensions during his time with the Bills. He missed some games in the 2016 NFL season due to league rules.
Houston Texans
On March 15, 2018, Henderson signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans. He started as a right tackle in the first game of the season. However, he left the game with an ankle injury. He was diagnosed with a broken ankle and was placed on injured reserve on September 12, 2018. This meant he couldn't play for the rest of that season.
On January 19, 2019, Henderson signed another one-year contract with the Texans. Later that year, on October 16, 2019, the Texans placed him on a special list due to a back injury. He was released from the team on November 18.
Saskatchewan Roughriders
Henderson then signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on February 8, 2021. This team plays in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was later placed on a reserve list on July 24, 2021. He was released by the Roughriders on February 14, 2023.
