Sergio Reguilón Rodríguez (born on December 16, 1996) is a Spanish professional footballer. He plays as a left-back for the English club Tottenham Hotspur.
Sergio started his football journey in the youth academy of Real Madrid. He made his first appearance as a senior player in August 2015. This happened while he was playing on loan for Logroñés. Sergio then played his first game for Real Madrid's main team in October 2018.
During the 2019–20 season, he was loaned to Sevilla. There, he helped his team win the UEFA Europa League. He was also chosen for the "Squad of the Season" for that tournament. In September 2020, Sergio Reguilón officially joined Tottenham Hotspur.

Sergio Reguilón's Football Journey
Starting at Real Madrid
Sergio Reguilón joined the youth system of Real Madrid in 2005. He was eight years old at the time. On August 5, 2015, he was loaned to Segunda División B team Logroñés for the season.
He played his first senior game on August 23, 2015. He played the last seven minutes in a 3–0 win against Compostela. After not playing much, he returned to Real Madrid on January 16, 2016. He then joined their reserve team, Real Madrid Castilla, which also played in the third division.
On August 23, 2016, Reguilón went back to Logroñés for another one-year loan. This time, he was a key player for the team. He scored eight goals during the season. A big highlight was scoring four goals against Bilbao Athletic in a 5–3 home win on October 2, 2016.
When he returned to Castilla, Reguilón became a regular starter. He renewed his contract on May 11, 2018. On August 25 of that year, he was moved up to the main Real Madrid team.
Sergio made his first appearance for Real Madrid's senior team on October 2, 2018. He started in a UEFA Champions League game, which they lost 1–0 to CSKA Moscow. He played his first game in La Liga (Spain's top league) on November 3, 2018. This was a 2–0 home win against Real Valladolid.
Time at Sevilla FC
On July 5, 2019, Reguilón was loaned to Sevilla for the 2019–20 season. He scored the first goal in his official debut on August 18. This helped Sevilla win 2–0 against Espanyol.
While at Sevilla, Sergio became a regular player. He helped the team win the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League.
Moving to Tottenham Hotspur

On September 19, 2020, Reguilón joined Tottenham Hotspur. He signed a five-year contract. He played his first game for Tottenham on September 29, 2020. This was a home game against Chelsea in the League Cup. He helped his teammate Erik Lamela score an equalizing goal. Tottenham then won the game 5–4 in a penalty shootout.
He made his Premier League debut on October 4, in a big 6–1 win against Manchester United. On May 19, 2021, Sergio scored his first goal for Tottenham. It was the winning goal in a 2–1 Premier League match against Leeds United.
Loan Spells: Atlético, Man Utd, and Brentford
On August 30, 2022, Reguilón joined Atlético Madrid on loan until the end of the season. After returning to Tottenham, he then joined Manchester United on a six-month loan. This happened on September 1, 2023. He was brought in to help because other left-backs were injured.
He returned to Tottenham on January 2, 2024. Two weeks later, on January 17, 2024, Tottenham loaned Reguilón to another Premier League team, Brentford. This loan lasted until the end of the season.
Playing for Spain
Sergio Reguilón was first chosen for the Spain under-21 team in March 2019. He played his only game at this level against Romania on March 21.
He was called up to the senior team for the first time on October 4, 2019. He made his debut for the senior team on September 6, 2020. He started in Spain's 4–0 win over Ukraine in the 2020–21 UEFA Nations League.
