Seye Adelekan (born on May 15, 1988), also known simply as Seye, is a talented musician. He is a bassist and singer-songwriter from Nigeria and Britain. Seye is most famous for being the live bassist for the popular band Gorillaz since 2017.
Seye's Early Life
Seye Adelekan was born in Nigeria. His father worked in the oil industry. Seye grew up in many different places. These included Lagos, Netherlands, Ecuador, and south-east London.
Seye's Music Journey
Seye's music career started in 2007. In 2012, he released his first solo song called "White Noise."
Before joining Gorillaz, Seye toured with other famous artists. He played with Lana Del Rey and Emeli Sandé. He also worked as a session musician for Paloma Faith. A session musician is someone who plays instruments for recordings or live shows without being a permanent band member. Seye joined Gorillaz in 2017.
Family and Music
Seye has a brother named Olugbenga Adelekan. Olugbenga is also a professional musician. He is best known as the bassist for the band Metronomy.
