Shaquell Kwame "Shaq" Moore (born November 2, 1996) is an American professional soccer player. He plays as a right-back for Major League Soccer club FC Dallas. He also plays for the United States national team.
Shaq Moore spent his early career playing soccer in Spain. He played six games in La Liga for Levante. He also played 99 games in Segunda División for Reus and Tenerife. In 2022, he joined Nashville SC for about $2 million.
Moore first played for the United States national team in 2018. He was part of the team that won the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Shaq Moore's Club Career
Starting Out in Soccer
Shaq Moore was born in Powder Springs, Georgia. He trained at IMG Academy when he was young. In April 2014, he began training with the Major League Soccer team FC Dallas.
In August 2014, Moore moved to Spain. He trained with three teams in Valencia: Valencia CF, Levante UD, and Huracán Valencia CF. He joined Huracán's youth team. On May 9, 2015, he officially signed with Huracán.
Moore played his first senior game for Huracán on August 22, 2015. He came in as a substitute in a 1–1 draw against CD Atlético Baleares. He later signed with Real Oviedo Vetusta in January 2016.
Playing for Levante
On August 30, 2016, Moore moved to Atlético Levante UD. This was another reserve team in Spain's third division.
In 2017, he was chosen for the first-team squad for the first time. This was for a La Liga match on September 30, 2017. Moore made his main team debut on October 26, 2017. He started in a 2–0 win against Girona FC in the Copa del Rey.
Just three days later, he played his first La Liga game. He became only the fourth American player to play in La Liga. He played eight games for the first team that season.
On July 13, 2018, Moore went on loan to CF Reus Deportiu in the Segunda División. However, he left the team on December 28 due to unpaid wages.
Time with Tenerife
On July 24, 2019, Moore signed a three-year contract with CD Tenerife. This team also played in the second division. His contract was later extended until 2024.
Moore played 101 games for Tenerife. He scored one goal in a 4–2 win against Extremadura UD on February 8, 2020. His last game for Tenerife was on June 19, 2022. The team lost in the playoff final.
Joining Nashville SC
On July 19, 2022, Moore signed with Major League Soccer team Nashville SC. The transfer fee was reported to be $2 million. He played his first game for Nashville 11 days later. It was a 1–1 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Return to FC Dallas
On December 27, 2024, Shaq Moore was traded to FC Dallas. This move brought him back to the club where he had trained as a youth player.
Shaq Moore's International Career
Shaq Moore has played for the United States at different youth levels. He played for the under-17, under-18, and under-20 teams. He was captain of the under-17 team in 2012–13. He also played in the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Moore was first called up to the senior national team on March 18, 2018. He made his full international debut on June 2, 2018. He came on as a substitute in a friendly game against the Republic of Ireland.
Moore was called up for the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup. On July 18, 2021, he scored his first international goal against Canada. He scored after only 20 seconds, which was the fastest goal ever for the U.S. team. He played in all of his team's games as they won the Gold Cup title.
On November 9, 2022, Moore was chosen for the U.S. squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Shaq Moore's Family Life
Shaq Moore's father, Wendell Moore, was also a soccer player for Trinidad and Tobago. His older brother, CJ, played soccer for the Gardner–Webb Runnin' Bulldogs. Shaq's uncle, Richard Goddard, was a goalkeeper for Trinidad and Tobago.
