Shea became well-known early in his career by working with the R&B singer Ne-Yo. He has also created music for many other famous artists like Rihanna, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, and Wyclef Jean.
His Amazing Music Career
Shea Taylor helped write seven songs for Beyoncé's album 4, which came out in 2011. This album was very successful! It sold over 300,000 copies in its first week and became a top album in the United States.
Some of the songs Shea worked on became big hits. "Love on Top" reached the top of the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in 2012. "Run the World (Girls)" was also a number one hit on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. Another song, "Best Thing I Never Had", became very popular on urban radio stations.
Shea also co-wrote two songs, "Thinkin Bout You" and "Pilot Jones", for Frank Ocean's first album, Channel Orange, released in 2012. This album was also very popular, reaching high spots on music charts in both the US and the UK.
