History of Shelley
Shelley used to be part of another suburb called Riverton. This changed around the mid-1960s. People believe the name "Shelley" comes from the many shells found along the shores of the Canning River. Imagine finding cool shells there!
Where is Shelley?
Shelley has clear borders that help you know where it is. Its northern edge follows Riverton Drive North, right along the river. To the east, the border starts from Riverton Drive East.
