Sherine Sayed Mohamed Abdel Wahab (Arabic: شيرين سيد محمد عبد الوهاب; born on October 8, 1980), known simply as Sherine, is a famous Egyptian singer and actress. Many people call her "The Voice of Egypt" because of her amazing singing talent. She was also a judge on the popular TV show The Voice: Ahla Sawt.

Early Life and Family
Sherine was born in Cairo, Egypt, on October 8, 1980. She grew up in a regular family. Her dad worked as a decorator, and her mom was a housewife. Sherine also has one brother and one sister.
She has been married and divorced a few times. She has two daughters from her first marriage. In 2018, she married Egyptian pop singer Hossam Habib. They divorced in 2021, but then got married again a year later. They divorced again in 2023.
Music Career
Sherine's singing talent was first noticed by her music teacher when she was a child. When she was nine years old, her teacher told her mom to take her to the Cairo Opera House. There, she met Selim Sahab, a famous Egyptian music conductor.
She sang for him, and he really liked her voice. From age nine to 12, Sherine sang in the choir at the Cairo Opera House. Later, she got the chance to sing by herself and was very successful.
She kept singing at the Cairo Opera House while looking for a music producer. A music producer helps artists record and release their songs. When she was 18, she met Nasr Mahrous, a well-known producer. He liked her voice and decided to work with her.
She joined his company, Free Music. There, she met Tamer Hosny, who was also a new singer. Nasr Mahrous decided to release an album with both Sherine and Tamer Hosny. The album, called Free Mix3 - Tamer & Sherine, came out in September 2002. It was a huge hit across the Middle East and North Africa, selling over 20 million copies.
Recently, her song "Sabry Aalil" became very popular on TikTok. It also saw a big increase in plays on Spotify.
Acting and TV Shows
Besides singing, Sherine has also acted in movies and TV shows. In 2003, she starred in the movie Mido Mashakel (Arabic: ميدو مشاكل) with famous Egyptian comedy star Ahmed Helmy.
In June 2015, she starred in the Egyptian TV series Taree'i (Arabic: طريقي). In this show, she played a young woman named Leila. Leila worked hard to achieve her dream of becoming a famous singer. She faced many challenges from society and her own family.
Sherine was a judge on the TV show The Voice Ahla Sawt (which means "The Voice, Best Voice"). She was a judge until 2017. In January 2017, she started her own talk show called Sherry's Studio (Arabic: شيري ستوديو) on an Egyptian TV network.
In June 2018, Sherine performed at a special concert in Saudi Arabia. This was one of the first big concerts there after new entertainment laws were introduced.
