Shilique Calhoun (born March 20, 1992) is an American former professional football player. He played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Shilique played college football for the Michigan State Spartans. He was chosen by the Oakland Raiders in the 2016 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Sports
Shilique Calhoun grew up in Middletown Township, New Jersey. He went to Middletown High School North. In high school, he was a talented athlete. He played both defensive end and tight end for the school's high school football team. He also played basketball during his high school years.
College Football Career
Shilique Calhoun started his college football journey at Michigan State University in 2011. As a freshman, he was redshirted. This means he practiced with the team but did not play in games. This allowed him to develop his skills and strength.
In 2012, as a redshirt freshman, he played in all 13 games. He was a backup player and made 6 tackles. In 2013, he became a starter. He had a great year with 37 tackles and 7.5 sacks. He also recovered 4 fumbles and forced 2 fumbles. Many sports publications named him a second-team All-American. He was also a finalist for the Ted Hendricks Award. Even though he could have joined the NFL draft in 2014, he chose to stay in college.
He continued to play well in 2014, making 39 tackles and 8 sacks. He again decided to stay for his senior year. In 2015, he had 49 tackles and 10.5 sacks. Shilique finished his college career with an impressive 27 sacks. He also had 131 tackles and 4 forced fumbles.

Playing for the Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders picked Shilique Calhoun in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft. He was the 75th player chosen overall. In June 2016, he officially signed with the Raiders. He wore the number 91 jersey. During his first year, he played in 10 games. He recorded nine tackles. Later that season, he was placed on injured reserve.
In 2017, the Raiders waived him, but he was quickly signed to their practice squad. He was later moved back to the main team. In 2018, he was again waived and then re-signed to the practice squad. He returned to the active roster in September 2018.
Time with the New England Patriots
In May 2019, Shilique Calhoun signed with the New England Patriots. He re-signed with them in March 2020. In a game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, Shilique recorded his first career sack. He sacked quarterback Russell Wilson. He was placed on injured reserve in November 2020 but returned to play in December.
Short Stays with Other Teams
After his time with the Patriots, Shilique Calhoun signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers in August 2021. He was released later that month.
In October 2021, he joined the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad. He was released from the Chiefs in January 2022. He signed a new contract with the Chiefs in February 2022 but was waived in August 2022.
