Shristi Shrestha's Journey
Becoming Miss Nepal
Shristi Shrestha started her journey in beauty pageants by representing her home area, Chitwan. She competed as Miss Chitwan 2012. In the same year, she won the main title of Miss Nepal 2012. She also earned the special "Miss Confidence" award.
Competing in Miss World
After winning Miss Nepal, Shristi went on to represent her country at Miss World 2012. She made history by becoming the first Miss Nepal winner to reach the quarter-finals of this global competition. She placed 20th overall. Shristi also did very well in other parts of the contest. She was among the top 10 for the "Beach Beauty" award. She also made it into the top 10 for the "Multimedia Award." Her popularity helped her win the "Public Choice Award" at Miss World.
Acting Career
Shristi Shrestha is also a successful actress. She made her first appearance in a Nepali film called Gajalu. In this movie, she starred alongside actor Anmol K.C.
Shristi also performed on stage. She played the famous character of Ophelia in a play called Hamlet. This play was written by the famous writer William Shakespeare. The show was put on at the Theatre Village in Kathmandu. The British Council helped produce this play.
