Simi Peak is the tallest mountain in the Simi Hills! It's located in sunny Southern California and stands about 2,405 feet (733 m) high. Imagine climbing to the very top of the Simi Hills – that's Simi Peak!
Where is Simi Peak?
Simi Peak is found in the eastern part of Ventura County, California. It's close to two cities: Simi Valley is to its north, and Thousand Oaks is to its west. This means it's right in the middle of some busy areas, but it still feels like a wild place!

Simi Peak isn't the only cool spot around! Another peak in the Simi Hills is Chatsworth Peak, which is on the far eastern side. Closer by is Escorpión Peak, also known as Castle Peak. It's about 1,475 feet (450 m) tall and is located in El Escorpión Park to the east.
Exploring Simi Peak and Nearby Parks
Simi Peak is part of a big, beautiful natural area called the Cheeseboro and Palo Comado Canyons Open Space park. This park is actually part of the larger Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, which is managed by the National Park Service (NPS).
You can explore Simi Peak by hiking on its trails. There are places to start your hike (called trailheads) in the towns of Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and Agoura Hills. You can also connect to these trails from the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve. It's a great place to get outside and enjoy nature!
