Sisaundra Lewis is an American singer, songwriter, and producer from Haines City, Florida. She is known for her powerful voice and for being a contestant on The Voice. Sisaundra was on Blake Shelton's team during season 6 of the show.

Today, Sisaundra is also a TV host and producer. She works for AFRO TV, which is a cable television network. She hosts two shows there: The Sisaundra Show and AFROJams.

Sisaundra's Singing Journey

Sisaundra Lewis was born as one of eight children. She grew up in Lake Hamilton, Florida, where she started singing in her father's church. This is where her love for music began.

She had a successful singing career in the 2000s. Famous singer Peabo Bryson invited her to join his international tours. She sang backup vocals and performed duets with him. Sisaundra also worked with the legendary Céline Dion. She was a backing vocalist, vocal director, and choreographer for Céline Dion.

In 2005, her first song "Shout" became a number-one hit. It topped the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. She released an album with the same name in 2006.

Sisaundra has a rich family background. She is of African American, Gullah, and Nigerian descent.

Her Work as a Songwriter and Producer

Sisaundra is not just a singer; she also writes and produces music. She helped write the song "Emotional" for Najee's album My Point of View. This album became number-one on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart.

She has worked with many famous people in the music world. These include Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, David Foster, Sting, and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Sisaundra also performed with Cirque du Soleil in their show La Nouba. She was part of the show in 2003 and again from 2007 to 2014. You can even see her on the La Nouba DVD, which was filmed live in 2003.

In 2009, she narrated a documentary called Sustaining Life. This film was nominated for an Academy Award in the Student Documentary category.

Her TV Career

Sisaundra started her television career in 2019. She became a co-host on AFRO TV's talk show for women, Point Of View.

In 2021, she created a show called AFROJams. This show features live music performances every month. Many Grammy Award-winning artists have performed on AFROJams. Some of these artists include BeBe Winans, Tye Tribbett, and Israel Houghton.

In September 2021, Sisaundra got her own daytime talk show. It is called The Sisaundra Show. This show is now in its second season and has broadcast over 200 episodes. You can watch it daily on AFRO TV.

Sisaundra on The Voice

In 2014, Sisaundra auditioned for season 6 of the US version of The Voice. She sang Aretha Franklin's song "Ain't No Way" for her audition. All four coaches loved her performance and turned their chairs. These coaches were Adam Levine, Usher, Shakira, and Blake Shelton. Sisaundra chose to join Blake Shelton's team.

She made it very far in the competition. She was eventually eliminated during the Quarterfinals. She tried to get the "Twitter Instant Save" by singing "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman". However, another contestant, Kat Perkins, received the save instead.
