Sisaundra Lewis is a talented American singer, songwriter, and producer. She grew up in Haines City, Florida. Many people know her from The Voice, a popular TV singing competition. She was on season 6 of the show and was part of Blake Shelton's team. Today, Sisaundra is busy producing and hosting two TV shows on AFRO TV. These shows are called The Sisaundra Show and AFROJams, which features live music.

Sisaundra's TV Career
Sisaundra started her television journey in 2019. She became a co-host for a daytime talk show called Point Of View on AFRO TV. In 2021, she created and began hosting AFROJams. This is a monthly show that features live music performances. Famous artists like BeBe Winans and Tye Tribbett have appeared on it.
In September 2021, Sisaundra got her own daytime talk show. It is called The Sisaundra Show. This show is now in its second season. Over 200 episodes have been broadcast across the country. You can watch it daily on AFRO TV.
Sisaundra's Singing Journey
Sisaundra was born into a large family with eight children. She grew up in Lake Hamilton, Florida. She started singing in her father's church when she was young.
In the 2000s, she had a successful singing career. The famous singer Peabo Bryson invited her to join his international tour. She sang backup and performed duets with him. Sisaundra also worked with Céline Dion. She was a backing vocalist, vocal director, and choreographer for Céline Dion.
On September 10, 2005, Sisaundra had a big hit. Her first song, "Shout," reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. She released an album with the same name in 2006. For these releases, she used only her first name, Sisaundra.
Sisaundra has a rich heritage. She is of African American, Gullah, and Nigerian descent.
Songwriting and Production Work
Sisaundra is also a talented songwriter and producer. She helped write the song "Emotional" for Najee's album My Point of View. That album became number one on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart.
She has worked with many well-known artists and producers. These include Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, Emilio Estefan, David Foster, Sting, and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Sisaundra performed in the Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba. She was part of the show in 2003 and again from 2007 to 2014. She is also featured on the La Nouba DVD, which was filmed live in 2003.
In 2009, she was the narrator for a documentary film. The film was called Sustaining Life. It was nominated for an Academy Award in the Student Documentary category.
Sisaundra on The Voice
In 2014, Sisaundra tried out for season 6 of the US The Voice. She sang Aretha Franklin's song "Ain't No Way" for her audition. All four coaches, Adam Levine, Usher, Shakira, and Blake Shelton, turned their chairs. This meant they all wanted her on their team. Sisaundra chose to join Blake Shelton's team.
She made it far in the competition. She was eventually eliminated during the Quarterfinals. She tried to get the "Twitter Instant Save" by singing "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman". However, another contestant, Kat Perkins, received the save instead.
