Lake Hamilton is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. In 2020, about 1,537 people lived there. It is part of the larger Lakeland–Winter Haven area.
The town gets its name from the large lake it sits beside, called Lake Hamilton. This lake is one of many connected lakes in the area, known as the Chain of Lakes. Two other lakes, Middle Lake Hamilton and Little Lake Hamilton, are also nearby.
From the mid-1960s to the 1970s, special boats called Hurricane Aircats were made in Lake Hamilton. These airboats were used by the US Army during the Vietnam War. They were built by Hurricane Fiberglass Products Company, a company from the nearby town of Auburndale.

The town covers a total area of about 3.9 square miles (10.1 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 3.0 square miles (7.8 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.9 square miles (2.3 square kilometers), is water.
The most important natural feature in Lake Hamilton is the big lake it's named after. Lake Hamilton is part of the famous Chain of Lakes. This lake is quite large, covering about 2,184 acres (8.8 square kilometers). It has an average depth of about 7.2 feet (2.2 meters).

Getting Around Lake Hamilton
There are two main roads that help people travel in and out of Lake Hamilton:
- State Road 17: This road is also known as the Scenic Highway. It goes right through the middle of town. It runs parallel to US 27 and leads south to downtown Dundee and Lake Wales.
- US 27: This major highway is located just west of town. It connects Lake Hamilton to other towns like Lake Wales and Haines City.
