Sofía Zámolo married José Félix Uriburu, a businessman, in November 2016. They had a civil ceremony on November 24, 2016. A party followed the next day in Tigre Partido. They also had a religious ceremony in December 2016 in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Their daughter, California Uriburu Zámolo, was born on October 29, 2020.

Starting as a Model

Sofía Zámolo began her career as a model when she was 16 years old. A friend of her dad's helped her get started with an agency.

She became very famous in 2001 after appearing on the cover of Revista Gente magazine. This cover, called La Rubia y la Morocha (The Blonde and the Brunette), featured her with Karina Jelinek. Because of this, Sofía got modeling jobs in many countries. She worked in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Miami, Madrid, Paris, and Uruguay. She has done many campaigns for clothing, lingerie, shoe, and beauty brands in Latin America.

In 2005, she was the face of the Nueva Campaña Kaury. In 2008, she worked on the autumn/winter campaign for Sweet Jeans. She was also featured in the Brahma Paraguay 2008 Calendar. In 2010, Sofía became the face of L'Oréal for an event in Rosario, Santa Fe. She has been on the cover of many magazines across Latin America.

Working in Television

In 2007, Sofía traveled to Mexico to host a fashion event called La flor más bella. She also started acting in theater that year, in a play called Pa'que tengan in Villa Carlos Paz.

In 2008, she joined the TV show Bailando por un Sueño 2008 as a participant. In 2009, she had a small role in the TV series Niní.

Sofía started hosting TV shows in 2010 with Plan Belleza. She also participated in Bailando 2010 that year. In 2011, Marcelo Tinelli invited her to co-host La cocina del show with Mariano Iudica. She also participated in Cantando 2011 in 2011.
