Square End Island is a small island located near Antarctica. It is about 5.6 kilometers (3 nautical miles) north-northeast of the western tip of King George Island. This island is part of the South Shetland Islands.
Explorers from the ship Discovery II gave the island its descriptive name. They were mapping the area in 1935 as part of the Discovery Investigations. The island is uninhabited, meaning no people live there.
