St. John is a small town in Whitman County, Washington, United States. In 2020, about 599 people lived there. St. John is also known as the place where Mike Lowry was born. He later became the twentieth governor of Washington.

History of St. John
The town of St. John was started in the late 1880s. It was named after an early settler, E.T. St. John. The town officially became a city on March 10, 1904.
E.T. St. John's full name was Edward Talbert St. John (1812–1894). He was the son of Pierce St. John and Mary Talbot/Talbert. Edward St. John traveled quite a bit before he settled in Whitman County and helped found the town.

St. John is located in Washington state. Its exact location is 47°05′25″N 117°34′56″W / 47.090403°N 117.582085°W.
The town covers a total area of about 0.63 square miles (1.74 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no water.
Climate in St. John
St. John has a climate that is often called a warm-summer Mediterranean climate. This means it has warm, dry summers and cool, wet winters. However, its winters are quite cold, so it's almost like a dry-summer humid continental climate.
