History of Steinish
In 1876, an exciting discovery was made in Steinish. A treasure trove was found! This treasure included old coins. These coins were from the time of famous rulers. They belonged to the eras of Francis and Mary, and also James VI. Finding such old coins helps us learn about the past.
Amazing Wildlife
Steinish is a great place to see different kinds of birds. The area is home to the Arctic tern, a bird known for its long migrations. You might also spot the corn crake, which is a shy bird.
