Stevan Jovetić (born 2 November 1989) is a professional footballer from Montenegro. He plays as a striker for Omonia. He is also the captain of the Montenegro national team. Many people think he is one of the best Montenegrin footballers ever.
Jovetić usually plays as a second striker. He can also play as an attacking midfielder or a winger. He is known for his amazing dribbling skills and his creative play. His style of playing has been compared to the famous footballer Roberto Baggio.
Jovetić started his career at FK Partizan in Serbia. He won two major trophies there in 2008. After that, he joined ACF Fiorentina in Italy. He played there for five seasons, scoring many goals. Then, he moved to Manchester City in England. In his first year in England, he won the League Cup and the Premier League. He later went back to Italy to play for Inter Milan. He also played on loan for Sevilla in Spain. In 2017, he joined Ligue 1 club Monaco. Later, he played for Hertha BSC and Olympiacos, where he won his first European title.
Stevan Jovetić plays for the Montenegro national team. He used to play for their under-21 team. He played his first senior international game in 2007. This was Montenegro's first international match as an independent country. He is Montenegro's all-time top goalscorer with 36 goals.
Jovetić is one of only a few players to score at least one goal in all of the "Big Five" leagues in Europe. These are the top leagues in England, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France. He is also known for his fair play. He has never received a straight red card in his career.

Club Career Highlights
Jovetić started playing football at Mladost Podgorica. He played there until 2004. Then, he joined FK Partizan.
Playing for Partizan
On 9 April 2006, Jovetić played his first senior game for FK Partizan. He was only 16 years old.
He scored three goals in a UEFA Cup qualifying game in 2007. This was his first hat-trick, and he was only 17! In January 2008, he became Partizan's club captain. He was 17 years, 10 months, and 21 days old. This made him Partizan's youngest captain ever.
Time at Fiorentina
On 10 May 2008, Serie A club Fiorentina signed him. He scored his first goal for them in April 2009.
He started the 2009–10 season with an important goal. This goal helped Fiorentina get into the Champions League group stages. On 29 September 2009, he scored two goals against Liverpool in the Champions League. He also scored two goals against Bayern Munich in March 2010.
During training for the 2010–11 season, he got a serious knee injury. This meant he could not play for the whole season.
Jovetić came back strong in the 2011–12 season. He scored two goals in his first game back. In October 2011, he signed a new contract with Fiorentina. He scored 14 goals in 27 league games that season. On 17 February 2013, Jovetić scored two goals as Fiorentina beat Inter 4–1.
Moving to Manchester City
On 19 July 2013, Jovetić joined Premier League club Manchester City. He chose to wear the number 35 shirt. He joined his friend and former teammate, Matija Nastasić, there. He played his first game for Manchester City on 14 September. He scored his first goals for the club in a League Cup game on 24 September.
On 29 January 2014, Jovetić scored his first Premier League goal. He scored his first FA Cup goal in February. In total, he scored 3 goals in the Premier League that season. Manchester City won the Premier League title that year.
In February 2015, Jovetić was removed from City's UEFA Champions League squad. This was due to rules from UEFA. He was replaced by a new player.
Playing for Internazionale
In the summer of 2015, he went back to Italy. He joined Inter Milan on a loan deal. He scored 3 goals in his first 2 games for Inter. The club later bought him permanently in July 2016.
For the 2016–17 season, he was not included in the squad for the Europa League. He played only 5 games for Inter that season.
Loan to Sevilla
On 10 January 2017, Jovetić went on loan to Spanish team Sevilla. He scored a goal in his first game against Real Madrid. Three days later, he scored against Real Madrid again in the league. This goal ended Real Madrid's amazing 40-game unbeaten run.
Time at AS Monaco
On 29 August 2017, Monaco signed Jovetić. He was given the number 10 shirt after Kylian Mbappé left. In his first season with Monaco, he scored 10 goals in 21 games. He had a streak of 5 games in a row where he scored goals.
Playing for Hertha BSC
On 27 July 2021, Jovetić signed a contract with Hertha BSC in Germany. This made him one of only a few players to play in all five of Europe's top leagues. When he scored against 1. FC Köln on 14 August 2021, he became only the second player ever to score at least one league goal in all Europe's top five leagues.
Winning with Olympiacos
On 4 September 2023, Jovetić joined Super League Greece club Olympiacos. He played his first game for them in a 1–1 draw. With Olympiacos, he won the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League. This was his first European title! He came on as a substitute in the final game, which they won 1–0 against his old club Fiorentina.
Joining Omonia
On 30 September 2024, Jovetić joined Cypriot First Division club Omonia FC.
International Career
Playing for Montenegro
Jovetić was one of the first players for the Montenegro national team. They played their first game in March 2007. Jovetić also regularly played for the Montenegro U-21 team. He scored his first international goals against Hungary in August 2008. He scored two goals in a 3–3 friendly game.
On 29 February 2012, he scored two more goals in his first game as captain. Montenegro won that friendly game against Iceland 2–1. On 15 October 2013, Jovetić scored two goals in a World Cup qualifier. He is Montenegro's all-time top goalscorer.
Style of Play
Jovetić is a fast, strong, and flexible player. He can play in many attacking positions. He can be a main striker, a winger, or an attacking midfielder. This is because he is good at connecting with midfielders and either scoring goals or helping others score. He is a creative and skilled striker. He is also known for his dribbling skills and speed with the ball. He can shoot well with both feet. Even though he is very talented, he has had some injuries that have limited his playing time.
Personal Life
When he was 13, Stevan moved from his hometown of Podgorica to Belgrade. He went there to play for FK Partizan's youth team. He lived in Belgrade for four and a half years. Then, he moved to Florence in Italy to play for Fiorentina. He lived there for 5 years.
His nickname in Montenegro is "Joveta." Fiorentina fans called him "Jo-Jo." His football heroes are Mirko Vučinić and Andriy Shevchenko. He is a big gamer and enjoys playing PlayStation with friends. He has many tattoos on his left arm. He has never consumed alcohol. His favorite football team is FK Partizan. Jovetić is an Eastern Orthodox Christian.
